:Applying in Person

 

 

Bachelors Degree

 

Before personally applying to the closest district of your residency for evaluation of the above degrees, please make sure you have all the necessary documents both originals and copies:

  • Application for evaluation of foreign academic degrees - download)
  • Diploma of the Bachelor degree - original and copy. If the diploma hasn't been issued yet to the day of application at our department, please present certificate of eligibility (including the degree, major/s, dates attended and the conferral date of the degree)
  • Final official grade transcript- original and copy (including credits for each course towards the degree)
  • Documents for previous studies (transfer credits) recognized and calculated towards the academic degree- original and copy, mainly official grade transcript of the previous academic institution those courses were conducted at (ifrelevant)
  • Matriculation diploma/high school diploma - original and copy
  • Israeli I.D- original+copy
  • Teudat Oleh - original and copy
  • Document stating the change of first and family name - original and copy (if relevant), obtained either from the Israeli Ministry of the Interior or foreign official authorities.
  • Official document stating the change of the name of the academic institution attended - original and copy (if relevant).
  • Israeli citizens who studied abroad or new immigrants studying abroad after their aliyah, must present official document from the Ministry of the Interior, with all the entrance and exit dates at the Israeli border stations.
  • Statement about the studies conducted towards the degree, signed in front of a licensed Israeli lawyer-for students who studied in extensions in Israel only  (download).
  • Official document stating at least 10 years of employment before the beginning of studies (if credits were awarded for life long experience)- original and copy.

 

In addition, graduates of Bachelor degrees taught as "Distance Learning'" should present all the above documents (except the statement) and the questionnaire filling all the relevant fields and forwarding the relevant information about the studies, which has to be signed by an Israeli licensed lawyer.

Please note: All documents presented to our office must be translated either in Hebrew or English by an Israeli notary (if the original documents are not in English or in Russian).

 Degrees taught at Israeli extensions of foreign academic institutions operating under the supervision and licensing of the Israeli Council for Higher Education, must be from the institution abroad and not from the extension in Israel.

 

 

Masters Degree

 

Before personally applying to the closest district of your residency for evaluation of the above degrees, please make sure you have all the necessary documents both original and copy of each of them:

  • Diploma of the Master degree- original and copy. If the diploma hasn't been issued yet to the day of application at our department, please present certificate of eligibility (including the degree, major/s, dates attended and the conferral date of the degree)

  • Diploma of the Bachelor Degree- original and copy,( if the degree is awarded by an Israeli academic institution) or all the relevant documents required for evaluation of the Bachelor Degree as appears above.  
  • Israeli I.D- original and copy.

  • Diploma of the Ph.D. degree- original and copy. If the diploma hasn't been issued yet to the day of application at our department, please present certificate of eligibility (including the degree, major/s, dates attended and the conferral date of the degree).
  • Final official grade transcript - original and copy (if applicable) or courses and examinations taken during the Ph.D. studies.
  • Diploma of the Bachelor and Master Degrees- original and copy, (if the degree is awarded by an Israeli academic institution) or all the relevant documents required for evaluation of Bachelor and Master Degree as appears above.
  • Israeli I.D.-original and copy
  • Teudat Oleh - original and copy
  • Documents stating entrance examinations taken before studies for the Ph.D. (if applicable), or official letter from the academic institution granting to the applicant the right to study Ph.D. degree at the specific institution, with the exact date of beginning of Ph.D. studies.-original and copy
  • Documents of the oral examination of the Ph.D. degree- original and copy.
  • Official document stating the names of the members of the examination committee, their positions within or outside the academic institution.- original and copy
  • Documents stating examinations (if applicable, oral or written ones) taken while the research thesis work- original and copy.
  • Document stating the change of first and family name (if applicable), obtained either from the Israeli Ministry of the Interior or foreign official authorities.- original and copy
  • Official document stating the change of the name of the academic institution attended (if applicable). - original and copy
  • Israeli citizens (or new immigrants studying after their aliyah in Israel) who studied abroad, must present official document from the Ministry of the Interior, with all the entrance and exit dates at the Israeli border stations).
  • Ph.D. statement about the studies conducted towards the degree, signed in front of a licensed Israeli lawyer (download).
  • Hard copy or a disk of the Ph.D. thesis.

 

Please note: a translated copy of the Ph.D. thesis' detailed abstract, either in Hebrew or English, must be presented to our department, if the thesis is written in any language but the above. The abstract will be forwarded to a specialist on the area of concentration of the Ph.D. research. Specialists maintain the right of asking the translation of the thesis, if the abstract is not enough to reach final conclusions (translation of the methodology chapter, findings, summary and introduction part).

An English or Hebrew translation of the bibliographical list should be attached to the abstract

When translation is required for the above parts of the thesis, it has to be attached to a statement of an Israeli licensed notary or lawyer, stating the authenticity of the documents translated.

Applicant can enclose to the documents all the published relevant materials, if found appropriate.

All documents presented to our office (except the thesis) must be officially translated either in Hebrew or English (if the original documents are not in English or in Russian).
